ITS MAY DAY

OH I LOVE MAY DAY, EVERY YEAR I HAVE GRAND PLANS AND THEY DONT ALWAYS GET DONE BUT I TRY TO MAKE A FEW MAY DAY BASKETS. THIS YEAR I BOUGHT CUTE LITTLE PINK BASKETS AND PANSYS AND SNAPDRAGONS. USED MY STAMPIN STUFF AND MADE TAGS.

DID YOU KNOW WHEN MY MOM WENT TO PARADISE GRADE SCHOOL MAYDAY WAS A BIG AFFAIR, THEY HAD A MAY POLE AND RIBBONS AND A DANCE AROUND THE MAYPOLE.

I LOVE IT THAT THE TEACHERS AT OUR SCHOOL STILL CELEBRATE. THEY MADE CUTE BEE BASKETS AND I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET TO BUY FLOWERS FOR THE FIRST GRADE MY #4 GRANDSONS IN TO PUT IN THEIR BASKETS. THEY LOVED THEM THE TEACHER SAID.

I SENT ONE BASKET TO MY SISTERS GRAVE, SHE LOVED MAY DAY LIKE ME AND I ALWAYS TOOK HER ONE NO MATTER WHAT. OH I MISS YOU SHIRL..YOU WERE THE BEST SISTER. OH I KNOW YOU GAVE ME GRIEF BUT I FORGOT ALL THAT AND JUST THINK NO BODY WOULD EVER BE ABLE TO COMPARE TO YOU.

I WANT TO TELL YOU ONE LITTLE MAY DAY STORY .

WHEN I WAS BABYSITTING FOR A FAMILY, THE YOUNGEST GIRL WAS ABOUT 5 AND IT WAS MAYDAY AND WE WERE DECIDING WHAT TO DO. SHE SAID SUESUE I HAVE AN IDEA,, DID YOU KNOW THEY ARE NOT MAKING HUCKLEBERRY HONEY BEER ANYMORE AND ITS MY DADS FAVORITE.. WE COULD GO TO EVERY STORE AND GAS STATION AND YOU COULD BUY IT ALL UP AND WE COULD GIVE IT TO MY DAD.. WELL WELL WELL..... I FOUND A BOTTLE IN THE GARBAGE AND SAID LETS MAKE A BASKET OUT OF THIS AND FILL IT WITH DADS FAV, FLOWER ..DANDILIONS. OH YA BABY THIS WAS FUN... SO WE MADE A HANDLE,. WROTE A NOTE, AND FILLED THAT BOTTLE BRIMMING WITH BRIGHT YELLOW DANDILIONS AND HUNG IT ON THE BEDROOM DOOR.. THE GIRL WAS HAPPY AND I WAS VERY HAPPY...ANYONE THAT KNOWS ME KNOWS IVE NEVER BOUGHT A BOTTLE OF BEER IN MY 60 YEARS ON EARTH THATS WHAT MADE IT FUNNY....WAS MY MENTAL IMAGE OF ME BUYING CASES OF HUCKLEBERRY HONEY BEER....GOOD NIGHT

Shirley

I would like to tell you about my sister Shirley, yes I know I mentioned her last yr in my other blog, but we lost her this Feb after a 5 year fight with ovarian cancer. I will miss her until I leave this earth. I know I cant do her justice in a paragraph, and most folks like me don't like super long posts so it if were to sum up my sister in a few words they would be SHE LOVED EVERYBODY, esp the down and outers. Was she just perfect you ask? Do I look stupid or what? No not at all. But she was my sister and she loved me like no one else.
This is my "bebe" on Thanksgiving 2012. She was sick but wanted to come to Marcies for dinner. Tough Tough Tough. They say tough enough to wear pink,,,she could have invented pink..

Left to right. sis Berta, Her boyfriend at the moment, Shirley and bro Danny  in California where they got me...Don't worry, I stirred up the pot..
Shirley and Clyde at thier 50th celebration, before cancer... Why oh Why do we have to have so much of that? Its such an awful waster of life.
Does this look like the face of a thief... come on now..
The last football game of the year, she watched from Kims living room window with Dusty loving on her..She was a perfect example of a nana and I hope I can remember all her tricks, like when they are naughty she always said I think they're tired.  She never quit loving those grandsons and my grandsons and she even loved the little thief, Zoey , She swore everytime Marcie came Zo made off with something...She love it.
Her life was spent loving and taking care of folks. We laughed, cried, and ate together . She loved to tell me how imperfect I was , but thats ok I know Im far from perfect and its good to be reminded once in a while or maybe quite a bit..
I hope you enjoyed this little splash of my sister, my friend, my critic, my fav cook, ( did I tell you that on Feb 11 before she died on Feb 24 she cooked my favorite birthday dinner and brought it to missoula. wow what a woman...

Hello From Paradise

I'm fairly new to blogging and have been using wordpress but Im going to try blogspot for a while. Everyone tells me how simple this is so here goes.
I live on 34 acres in the mountains of Montana between the Clark Fork River and the Flathead River. My husband of 40 yrs raises some horses and a few cows. Its the most beautiful place this side of Heaven, I guess thats why they call it Paradise.
We have 3 kids and 5 grandkids and one little schuauzer named GUS. Life is kind of like a book youve never read, you dont know what the next page will hold. This last few months have been sad pages for me, I lost my sister and brother within 2 weeks of each other and a few days before that a 96 yr old dear dear friend .
I work at the local High School as a mental health associate. This is a full time job and let me tell you, never start working full time at 60 because you will never feel like you can keep up with everything and I don't think I could if Jimmy didn't help me.
The things I love to do is be with my family, sit on my deck and watch the new baby colts and goats playing, knit, scrapbook, craft, play Boggle with my son-in-law,take rides in the country.actually we live in the county.
I Love God and His Word.
